JUPITER, Fla., – December 28, 2007 –Residents, Members and employees of The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter participated in "Race for the Animals" in early December to benefit Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary and Hospital. Nearly 50 people joined personal fitness trainer, Sue Johnson in the warm-up before the 4.6-mile run/walk around the private golf club community. The event raised $5,000 for the charity, including a $500 donation from Steve Schultz, general manager of Oppenheimer & Co. in Palm Beach Gardens.

"Safe Harbor is committed to rescuing homeless animals in this community, and it is through fundraising events such as this one that make our work possible," said Executive Director, Kay-Lynette Roca.
