Ludy Gutierrez Appointed Project Director For Kapalua Bay
KAPALUA RESORT, Maui – September 27, 2007 – Kapalua Bay, the new private and fractional ownership development underway within Kapalua Resort, announced today Ludy Gutierrez has been appointed project director. Gutierrez is leading the sales and marketing initiatives for the emerging resort real estate community on Maui’s west side.
“Ludy Gutierrez is the ideal leader to guide Kapalua Bay to completion and ensure that Owners and Members will enjoy the very best that Ritz-Carlton is offering in Maui’s premier oceanfront setting,” said Robert Calhoun, regional vice president for The Ritz-Carlton Club.
Gutierrez has been a key member of the Marriott team in Hawaii for 10 years. He joins Kapalua Bay from Marriott Vacation Club (MVC), after two years in his most recent position as regional director of sales for Hawaii, providing sales operation direction and support to the region’s four MVC properties and two Ritz-Carlton Club locations. Prior to that, Gutierrez served as director of sales for Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club. He began his Marriott career as a sales executive at Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club in 1997.
Gutierrez fills the position previously held by Jeff Berger, who was recently selected as project director for The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa in Jupiter, Fla.
When completed in April 2009, Kapalua Bay will feature The Residences at Kapalua Bay, comprised of 84 private ownership residences, and The Ritz-Carlton Club offering 62 fractional ownership residences sold in deeded, one-twelfth interests.
The Residences at Kapalua Bay offers luxurious three- and four-bedroom floor plans ranging from approximately 3,000 to more than 4,200 square feet, with options for a state-of-the-art media room and den. The Ritz-Carlton Club, Kapalua Bay offers fully furnished two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from approximately 1,900 to more than 2,200 square feet, with Members enjoying 21 or more days per year at the property. All residences will include a private garden entryway, gourmet kitchen, covered lanai with breathtaking ocean views, and property management services provided by The Ritz-Carlton.
On-site amenities being built for Kapalua Bay residents will include a 6,100 square-foot beach club, 8,500 square-foot lagoon-shaped pool with indoor-outdoor bar and grill, and 24 acres of lushly landscaped coastline, along with access to the new 25,000 square-foot Spa at Kapalua.
