Insight Into Luxury: Kapalua Bay Opens New Sales Gallery
KAPALUA RESORT, Maui – July 9, 2007 – Kapalua Bay, the luxurious fractional and private ownership development underway within Kapalua Resort, officially opened its new sales gallery at the entrance to the 24-acre oceanfront property.
The 6,500 square-foot sales gallery showcases the superb craftsmanship and enticing amenities being provided by The Ritz-Carlton when Kapalua Bay opens in April 2009.
“Our new sales gallery reflects the elegance of The Ritz-Carlton lifestyle while highlighting the very best qualities of the Kapalua Resort and Maui,” said Jeffrey Berger, project director for Kapalua Bay.
When completed, the development will include The Residences at Kapalua Bay, featuring 84 private ownership residences, and The Ritz-Carlton Club, Kapalua Bay, comprised of 62 residences sold in deeded, one-twelfth fractional ownership interests. Club Members will enjoy the benefits of being able to stay 21 or more days per year at Kapalua Bay.
The sales gallery design conveys the classic architectural look of Hawaii’s plantation era. The building’s perimeter is shaded by extending the roof, allowing guests to sit outside and enjoy the comfort of West Maui’s sunny climate and cooling trade winds. Inside, the gallery layout is stylish, yet relaxed and welcoming, and complemented by artwork celebrating Kapalua’s history.
A large, topographical model of Kapalua Bay and surrounding coastline is the focal point of the main gallery, which showcases the breadth of outdoor amenities to be enjoyed. From here, guests can take a virtual tour of both the exterior and interior of the Kapalua Bay’s residences and surrounding property using 42-inch plasma monitors and the latest interactive technology. Additionally, a fully furnished model of a Residences at Kapalua Bay kitchen is under construction and available for guests to view. Finally, displays of the site plans and interior furnishings present a complete picture of the homes being built.
Guests can then step outdoors and visit perhaps the most inviting feature – the outdoor viewing platform overlooking the property site, which presents spectacular ocean views of the Pacific Ocean with Molokai and Lanai in the backdrop.
In August, guests will also be able to tour a full-scale, fully furnished model of The Ritz-Carlton Club, Kapalua Bay. Located next to the sales gallery, the Club residence model will showcase the superior quality Ritz-Carlton offers Members of this private residence club.
In conjunction with the sales gallery opening, a reception was held on June 26 for realtors representing real estate firms throughout Maui. “The real estate community has been hearing a lot about Kapalua Bay, so it was wonderful to present to them what is being developed at this magnificent location,” continued Berger.
Brokers had an opportunity to meet with membership executives and learn more about the project. “It’s very beautiful. The architecture, layout and whole composition are very well done,” said realtor Andre Adoloffo of RE/MAX Maui. Broker Pat Sullivan of Sullivan Properties echoed the enthusiasm by stating, “This development fits a lot of different needs and what is happening in today’s market. I think they found a niche.”
The Residences at Kapalua Bay will offer three- and four-bedroom floor plans ranging from 3,002 to 4,271 square feet, with options for a state-of-the-art media room and den. The Ritz-Carlton Club, Kapalua Bay will feature two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,912 to 2,257 square feet. All the residences will offer a private garden entryway, gourmet kitchen, covered lanai with breathtaking ocean views, and property management services provided by The Ritz-Carlton.
On-site amenities being built exclusively for Kapalua Bay residents will include a 6,100 square-foot beach club, 8,500 square-foot lagoon-shaped pool with indoor-outdoor bar and grill, and 18 acres of lushly landscaped coastline, along with access to a new 25,000 square-foot destination spa.
