THE RITZ-CARLTON CLUB APPOINTS TWO REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS OF SALES OPERATIONS

Orlando, Fl. – The Ritz–Carlton Club – the industry’s leading private residence club – announces the appointments of David Short and Bruce Rohman to regional vice president of sales operations for the East and West regions, respectively. Both Short and Rohman will be responsible for sales activities and regional membership executives assigned to their territories.

In 1997, Short joined The Ritz–Carlton Club as vice president of sales and marketing to assist in the development of the brand. In this position, he oversaw recruitment, training and new product business analysis for sales and marketing overall. Most recently he has been instrumental in creating enhanced Ritz–Carlton Club services and offerings, as well as off–property sales operations.

Short joined the company from The Owners Club, a division of ClubCorp USA, Inc., where he served as national sales manager. He was accountable for the sales and marketing of residential resort clubs in Hilton Head Island, S.C.; The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.; Barton Creek in Austin, Texas; and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. During his career, he also served as chief operating officer at Sea Island Real Estate Company and vice president for the southeastern region of RBC Enterprises, Inc., where he served on a product design team.

Short holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. He is also an active member of the Hilton Head Island community, where he is a founding member of the Harbour Town Literary Society and Health Club, and he coaches a girls' softball team. Short and his family will be relocating to Orlando, Fla., in the near future.

A 14–year veteran of Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) – the vacation ownership division of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) – Rohman joined the company as a sales executive at Marriott’s Summit Watch in Park City, Utah. He later went on to become sales manager at the resort. Rohman advanced through the company to fill many field roles in Palm Desert, Calif., including director of sales and project director at Marriott's Desert Spring Villas II, as well as project director at Marriott's Shadow Ridge Resort. Under his leadership, his sales teams won several sales performance awards. In 2004, he moved his family to Orlando to fill the post of vice president of sales for MVCI.

Rohman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. An active member of the Orlando community, Rohman volunteers as a little league and youth football coach, as well as contributing his time to the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of America, and his church. He and his family will remain in Orlando.

"Both David and Bruce will serve as tremendous assets to The Ritz–Carlton Club," said Scott Oldakowski, vice president global sales and marketing operations. "They are seasoned and well-respected leaders within our organization. Their capacity to motivate our sales forces is proven, and I’m confident they will elevate the brand into the future."
