The historic Chronicle Building, built in 1890 as the original site of The San Francisco Chronicle, is now home to The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences. Eight floors have been added to the original nine while carefully preserving the building’s architectural character.


The Ritz-Carlton Residences occupy 24 floors. The 57 Private Ownership Residences include floorplans ranging from one to three bedrooms, all luxuriously furnished and finished with the finest appointments. The Ritz-Carlton Club comprises 44 Fractional Ownership Residences occupying separate floors within the Chronicle Building. All Club Residences are luxuriously furnished and appointed, and Members enjoy the unequalled service and amenities that are synonymous to The Ritz-Carlton during their stays.

The project is currently under construction and has a scheduled first phase occupancy of November 2007.

The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, San Francisco, is not owned or developed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. R.C. Chronicle Building, LP, in which an affiliate of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. owns an interest, uses the Ritz-Carlton trademarks under a license from The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.

Residences range in size from 1,050 to 3,600 square feet with one to three bedrooms and one-and-a-half to three baths. Several distinct layouts are offered, including two-story Penthouse designs. Each Residence is luxuriously furnished and includes such fine appointments as top-of-the-line appliances, Italian marble bathroom floors and upscale lighting/fixtures throughout.


The building includes a private parking garage. Residents also enjoy the service of a 24-hour Concierge, the convenience of a fitness center, and a private 12th floor Residents’ Lounge.

All are luxuriously furnished and feature such fine appointments as top-of-the-line appliances, Italian marble bathroom floors and upscale lighting/fixtures throughout.
